You have made your Music Video "Black & Blue" which got official selection in the
"American Golden Picture International Film Festival".
As a filmmaker, why you decided to make Music Video?
When I was approached by Leah Seawright and Mark Herndon with their song, I wanted the challenge
of telling such a needed visual when reminding America and our children where America came from
while also installing a renewed sense of patriotism.
What were some of the challenges you faced in making this?
We had one day to shoot the entire video due to the budget, three locations. I’m big on pre-production.
I storyboard every shot, then make a video pre-vis to show the client exactly what the video will look like. That helped.
Let us more about your experience in music videos?
Although directing TV shows and Films, I love creating short stories and narratives for music videos.
It’s a challenge to tell a great story in such a short time frame. I’ve been directing music videos since 2010.
I treat directing music videos just like directing a film. I won't shoot a performance video only
for an Artist. That’s easy; anyone can do that.
The Crew member of your film supports the music video in a very
effective way. What was it like to work with them?
Very effective, I always have a 1st AD that knows the pre-pro just as I do.This always makes for a smooth shoot.
